All i asked for was a complimentary upgrade with 1 bed instead of 2 and they gave me a suite with a king sized bed and a living room. You can fit like 6 people in that room 1 couch and 2 single lay down chairs! My friends gave them a 20 and they did not get the upgrade since i supposedly "took the last one" but they did get their resort fee taken off which paid for it self already since we stayed 4 nights. |

We were checking in at about 3am, and passed he woman at the front desk our $20 sandwich, and asked if there were any upgraded rooms available. She tried to return it (twice) but we said no thanks. Wound up with an upgrade to a great room in the Paradise tower with a view, a free night, no resort fee, and a handful of drink coupons. |

Not only would the desk agent not upgrade us, the system had us for in a one bed room instead of the two bed one booked and claimed they were completely booked and couldn't fix it. (Oddly his manager could) |

I've used the 20 dollar tip to upgrade in several other hotels and put it in between my ID and CC. I asked if there were any complimentary upgrades...the check in agent went to work finding me something i'd like. He went to check with the boss, who turned down the request. Apparently the maid service to that room is 1.5 credits as opposed to 1.0 for a regular room and the boss is tight w/ expeditures. The agent retuned the 20 to me after apologizing profusely and saying this wouldn't have happened in old Vegas. |

Received 2 night comp for Garden Room. Slipped the check-in girl (asian, late 30s)a $20 sandwiched between my Credit Card and my Drivers License. Asked if any upgrades were available. She saw it after i handed her the 'sandwich' and passed the $20 back to me, said "That's not necessary, sir. I'll take care of you."
Ended up on 8th floor, Paradise Tower, with a strip view. |

Holy geez this was awesome. sandwiched the money between the cards and the lady asked if i needed change i polite told her it was for her and if she can get me a upgrade. she works like a wizard on the couputer and gets me a suite with a strip view... Best 20 bucks i ever spent |

The clerk proceeded to tell me that i was booked at a garden room (which was correct). I then asked him if there were by chance any paradise tower rooms available and slipped him a twenty. He took it almost instantly and told me there was a room available. |

He was telling us we had a garden room booked (A room in the crappy 3 story motel structure). It was funny, because at the exact same time next to us, a older woman was complaining about how much they sucked and she wanted her money back. Well either way, i looked at the guy for a second and carefully slipped a 20 up towards him and asked if they had any spare Paradise Tower rooms available. He took it straight out of my hand and said there was. Score! |

My friend had booked the room, so she sandwiched a $20 between ID & credit card, didn't ask for anything, check-in girl asked "What would you like?" and she answered "What can we get?" and after some typing she said she'd get us something nice. AMAZINGLY huge room, full strip view, definitely good use of $20! |
